Signature Crossover Guitar

The term "crossover" has been used to identify both the steel-string player who wants the "nylon-string" sound or alternatively the player who wants a guitar for various, often modern, musical styles.

The player who switches from steel to nylon strings will naturally want to retain as much of the steel-string playability as possible. This is designed into my Crossover guitars, with a narrower and slimmer neck, radiused fingerboard, lowest possible action, closer string spacing and accurate intonation.

The  Flamenco Negra in Alpine Spruce and Rosewood is proving very popular as a "crossover" guitar where the player needs a guitar to perform a fusion of styles or genres. The design of the Flamenco-style guitar lends itself very well to the percussive, low sustain style of music that typifies these styles.  Nylon string guitars in Jazz, Celtic and South American "Salsa" are becoming  increasingly popular, particularly when plugged in.  The scale length and fingerboard dimensions can be adjusted as required and a cutaway or stepped-neck can also be used.
