Roger Williams - LuthierI have worked with my hands, at various crafts, for most of my life An early fascination with materials and structures led me take an engineering apprenticeship with Rolls-Royce where I became a jet-engine designer and then production engineer. Making music has always been my passion. I was given my first guitar at twelve and purchased the materials for my first handmade guitar in 1970 and since then I have restored, repaired and built many hundreds of guitars and string instruments for discerning professional and amateur musicians. Over the years I have performed most acoustic guitar repairs possible (and some nearly impossible!) on every style of acoustic guitar from budget steel string to cherished guitars valued in many thousands.
"Roger has set-up a concert instrument of mine and also done a full restoration of another of my instruments (Antonio Marin Montero - 1982). His attention to detail, and craftsmanship are of the highest order, and I am happy to trust him with my instruments, and will use his services again in the future." Xuefei Yang |
